Hi Jytte,
I've been meaning to email you to thank you again for the beautiful hats.  They were a huge success and greatly appreciated by everyone.  Also the envy of everybody else at the station.  I've attached a pic of us at the South Pole.  You might be interested in this video also - notice almost everyone is wearing your hat.

It was a unique experience and great season as we obtained our goal of 700+ meters of ice core.  I think our high temperature for the summer was -8F with -20's more the norm so the hats were put to use.
Thanks for all your help with the design.

Saw one of your beanies on a guy's head while walking on the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland in September! Hopefully nephew and husband will love theirs as much as they guy who give me your info!

As well as your philosophy and commitment to nature. And I am so glad to see the now very rare Made in U.S.A tag. I wish more companies had a SOUL like yours. Thank you!

Happy New Year Jytte! I just wanted to write and thank you again for your generosity and kindness. We had such a wonderful wedding, it was perfect. We got married on a Thursday and gave everyone a JYTTE® hat at the reception. They loved them! Throughout the rest of the weekend our family wore them every day. Here are a few photos from the wedding. I apologize I wasn't wearing mine! I had on a flower wreath that had at least 15 bobby-pins in it. But they were wonderful! Every time we put them on we'll think of our wedding and our time together as a family.

Again, thank you so much!

Wishing you happiness, contentment and success in 2014,
 - Laura & Rody

Looks like we have our Christmas Card photo for 2016 taken care of... The group is posting numerous photos on Instagram, at least some of them under the hashtag #durrandglacier. I also started a #jyttehats.

Take care,
Tom

Was skiing Killington yesterday and after getting slope side realized I forgot my hat in the car WAY, WAY far away in the parking lot.  I ran into the pro-shop looking for a hat that had a vintage alpine look/feel and found your Scandia in black tassel  after a thumbs up from my kids, I was on the hill.  It was a bitter cold and windy day yesterday with many lifts closed in the morning.  Your hat worked flawlessly – warm, warm, warm, snug fitting, sharp looking, and very comfy around the ears.  Top notch!  Nicely done!  Now that I’ve found you, I look forward to ordering some more hats - the American flag and houndstooth are very nice looking! New fan in Boston, MA!!

P.S.  I love the old school tassle – I told my kids that if they see the tassle flying, it means they’re behind me!

I’m jealous that Heidi got to come meet you and see your factory up there! Thank you SO MUCH for the hats you sent her home with. They are great. Heidi’s talking of you made me think of all the places your hats have gone, the ones we gave to friends in Antarctica. One hat made it up to Greenland this summer, worn by our lead ice core driller as he worked with our Danish colleagues at their camp. Their project, called ”NEEM,” is the sister ice core to ours in Antarctica for the similarity in the amount of snowfall between the sites. It’ll be neat to compare what our Antarctic climate record looks like in comparison to the other pole. Below is the link. Thought you’d appreciate this as a Dane yourself!

Cheers.
Peter

Dear Jytte,
I’m just wondering when does love becomes an addiction? I love your hats. Not one winter day or cold summer, fall, or even spring night goes by without your hat on my head. My girlfriend knows when the weather is getting better when i stop wearing your hats. Enclosed is a picture to prove my worthiness. Yep, 12 JYTTE
® hats. Im pretty sure this isn’t a record but I think its impressive. Please keep making them and i’ll keep ordering them.

I bought one of your hats in Evanston, IL a couple of years ago.  It is the best hat I have ever had.  I wear it all the time, steelhead fishing, biking and snowblowing.  I’ve gotten many complements on it but I wear it because it is warm and comfortable and makes me feel like I can take on anything. It gets pretty cold here (Chicago area) and I live a few blocks from Lake Michigan.  Judging from the name, I assumed it was some sort of European deal but I am happy to see that it is American and made here.  Even though the one I have has a lot of life left in it, as soon as I get some money, I’ll probably buy another.

Jytte,
You probably don't want to read this but you missed such INCREDIBLE snow on this fantastic trip to St Moritz and the Engadine, somehow you have to join us next year. It was like heliskiing every day, another 20 -80 cms EVERY NIGHT! Bizarre actually, especially for normally sunny St Moritz. Most of the skiers are so crappy and they don't like powder anyway so we barely had to ski offpiste to find untracked. The poor polo players couldn't hit the ball more than 10 metres and everyone's furs were so laden down in powder they could barely stay outside...lol! Club Med was actually better than expected (the food and the guiding that is, the cruise ship mentality was bonkers but easy to not partake in).

Needless to say, the toques were a huge hit -- EVERYONE asked about the design (including some grand fromage from Club Med who immediately picked up on the logo and asked only half jokingly whom it was okayed by at head office. What a great souvenir for all 58 of us plus the Club Med guides, the tourist board people, and a couple of other lucky latchons.
Anyway, thanks, thanks, thanks again for making JYTTE
® part of this trip and stories again.....more to come!

Hi Jytte!
First of all, many thanks for sending off the hats for my wife, Andi.  You should know that before she had her JYTTE
®, she never wore a hat.  Now she won’t take it off!  It has become a regular part of her wardrobe like pants, shirt, etc. We both love your hats.  As I mentioned in our call, we live in Kennebunk, Maine with our family.  The only place we have seen your hats has been at Nomads in Portland, but they normally only have a few hats in stock in a particular color at a time.  Not a wide selection.  It would be great to find a way to get your full product line up of designs and colors in front of people here in Maine.  People really like (and support) independently owned, quality companies, based here in the U.S.A. I hope you have a great Holiday Season.  My contact information is below.  Let’s stay in touch. Merry Christmas!

All the best,

Hey guys!
Its great to find you all on the net.  My grandma bought me one of your hats a long time ago, must have been mid 90′s.  I still wear the hat everyday in the Chicago winter, but it is starting to show its age.  I really wanted to know if you all can recommend a way to clean the hat and make her shine again, or at least be a little less dingy. The hat has been all over the world with me;  Through 2 Russian winters and -25 below zero, through Belgium on a bicycle. London on the Concorde, (I work for British Airways I’m not a international man of mystery) and pretty well all over the US, the best was Yosemite.  I wanted to say thanks for making such a great and long lasting hat.  There are pictures of it up on my facebook page if you want to see a great old hat.  Any chance of a similar snowflake and stripe pattern coming out soon?
All the best, keep making great US made hats.

Rich Anderson
P.S. I wish I could take my dog to work!
