Hi Jytte, |
Saw one of your beanies on a guy's head while walking on the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland in September! Hopefully nephew and husband will love theirs as much as they guy who give me your info! |
As well as your philosophy and commitment to nature. And I am so glad to see the now very rare Made in U.S.A tag. I wish more companies had a SOUL like yours. Thank you! |
Happy New Year Jytte! I just wanted to write and thank you again for your generosity and kindness. We had such a wonderful wedding, it was perfect. We got married on a Thursday and gave everyone a JYTTE® hat at the reception. They loved them! Throughout the rest of the weekend our family wore them every day. Here are a few photos from the wedding. I apologize I wasn't wearing mine! I had on a flower wreath that had at least 15 bobby-pins in it. But they were wonderful! Every time we put them on we'll think of our wedding and our time together as a family. |
Was skiing Killington yesterday and after getting slope side realized I forgot my hat in the car WAY, WAY far away in the parking lot. I ran into the pro-shop looking for a hat that had a vintage alpine look/feel and found your Scandia in black tassel after a thumbs up from my kids, I was on the hill. It was a bitter cold and windy day yesterday with many lifts closed in the morning. Your hat worked flawlessly – warm, warm, warm, snug fitting, sharp looking, and very comfy around the ears. Top notch! Nicely done! Now that I’ve found you, I look forward to ordering some more hats - the American flag and houndstooth are very nice looking! New fan in Boston, MA!!
P.S. I love the old school tassle – I told my kids that if they see the tassle flying, it means they’re behind me!

Dear Jytte, |
I bought one of your hats in Evanston, IL a couple of years ago. It is the best hat I have ever had. I wear it all the time, steelhead fishing, biking and snowblowing. I’ve gotten many complements on it but I wear it because it is warm and comfortable and makes me feel like I can take on anything. It gets pretty cold here (Chicago area) and I live a few blocks from Lake Michigan. Judging from the name, I assumed it was some sort of European deal but I am happy to see that it is American and made here. Even though the one I have has a lot of life left in it, as soon as I get some money, I’ll probably buy another. |

Hi Jytte!
First of all, many thanks for sending off the hats for my wife, Andi. You should know that before she had her JYTTE®, she never wore a hat. Now she won’t take it off! It has become a regular part of her wardrobe like pants, shirt, etc. We both love your hats. As I mentioned in our call, we live in Kennebunk, Maine with our family. The only place we have seen your hats has been at Nomads in Portland, but they normally only have a few hats in stock in a particular color at a time. Not a wide selection. It would be great to find a way to get your full product line up of designs and colors in front of people here in Maine. People really like (and support) independently owned, quality companies, based here in the U.S.A. I hope you have a great Holiday Season. My contact information is below. Let’s stay in touch. Merry Christmas!
All the best,
Chris Robinson

Hey guys!
Its great to find you all on the net. My grandma bought me one of your hats a long time ago, must have been mid 90′s. I still wear the hat everyday in the Chicago winter, but it is starting to show its age. I really wanted to know if you all can recommend a way to clean the hat and make her shine again, or at least be a little less dingy. The hat has been all over the world with me; Through 2 Russian winters and -25 below zero, through Belgium on a bicycle. London on the Concorde, (I work for British Airways I’m not a international man of mystery) and pretty well all over the US, the best was Yosemite. I wanted to say thanks for making such a great and long lasting hat. There are pictures of it up on my facebook page if you want to see a great old hat. Any chance of a similar snowflake and stripe pattern coming out soon?
All the best, keep making great US made hats.

P.S. I wish I could take my dog to work!
